Marc Cartwright grew up in New York on Long Islands East End. In 1993, he moved to New York City where he attended NYU studying Semantics and the Relationship between Mass Media and Human Behavior.

While fulfilling an art requirement, he discovered photography. Marc quickly realized that his love for the art was to become his life passion.

Upon graduating NYU, he moved to California where he began acting in commercials and appeared in various print ads for clients such as Coca Cola, Robinson’s May and Tommy Hilfiger.

In 2002, Marc was asked to appear on the cover of Instinct magazine. During the whole process of shooting the cover, he talked with the photographer and began to see a career in photography as a tangible goal and not just a dream.

So in June of 2002, he opened MARC CARTWRIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY.

His purpose, having been on both sides of the camera, is to deliver a product that gets the client noticed. His background and love of capturing individuality ensures a most fun and rewarding collaboration between photographer and subject.
