Most of us have heard the legend of the Mayans and the Mayan calendar. On December 21st, 2012, the World as we know it will come to an end….. We have no way of knowing if it will be fast and painless or slow and unbearable, or coming to an end in the most disastrous way, like in the movie 2012 that just came out in November.
I watched the movie and I believe it was an orgasm to the eyes, but one thing that freaked me out a little bit was in the fact, that the science and everything they said in the movie seemed probable. It got me thinking, what if the prediction of 2012 really is a factual statement? I was always indifferent about the topic….I didn’t believe it, but I wasn’t a skeptic either…
I remember my freshman year of high school, and my Spanish teacher had explained that it wasn’t the world coming to an end, as we thought it would end with the whole human species extinct, but a new era of life. That explanation made me a little more at ease thinking that there are other theories as well.
Global warming could be another factor, of the earth ending…. so many instigators that can contribute to the world ending and others that just make the legend seem impossible…. Its up to you to decide….. Its up to you to either wait and die a crispy critter or live your life to the fullest for the next 2 years and knowing you lived as long as you could… Tthen dying a crispy critter.
